Following hot on the heels of the successful introduction of the Emporia Life mobile handset for the ‘older’ generation in Europe last year - in which it sold 250,000 units - AHD today announced that the new and improved Emporia Life Plus handset will be available in the UK at the end of May.

With a sleek aluminium outer casing, weighing just 138g and with standby time of an impressive 250 hours, the Emporia Life Plus ‘slider’ handset appeals directly to the 20 million people in the UK who are older than 50 and just want a mobile that is uncomplicated and easy to use. Available at www.matobmobile.co.uk the emporialifeplus will be available free on contract or on any network of your choice PAYG for £144.67.

The Emporia Life Plus handset also has the following features, which are considered top of the desirability list among the ‘silver’ generation:

- Super loud hands free speakerphone
- Over sized display & buttons
- Flash light
- Hearing Aid compatible
- One press ICE (In Case of Emergency) number dial/emergency SMS

Toby Robinson, director, AHD, said: “The fifty plus market is huge in the UK. The Emporia Life Plus handset has been thoroughly researched and designed to appeal to the over 50s market. Through that research, this group of consumer’s product requirements has been defined and standardised. Those requirements are as simple as ‘uncomplicated’ and ‘easy-to-use’ with a ‘long battery life’, the Emporia Life Plus delivers on these needs within a price bracket that is in reach of most people.”
