Training: The Science and Art of Effective Web and Application Design

Date: 16 February 2010 to 18 February 2010
Source: Human Factors Europe, 5 January 2010
Submitted by Tomasz Kuskowski

Designing intuitive and effective user interfaces is both science and art. Through interactive exercises and in-depth discussions, we show you how to achieve that by applying research-based and field-tested design principles and methodologies.

We begin by focusing on the interface’s four foundation layers - navigation, presentation, content, and interaction. We will also look at how web 2.0 is influencing user experience (UX) design. Our comprehensive, three-day course is structured to provide you with the framework, tools and templates for improved design efficiency. You will also come away with a greater insight into accessibility and cross-cultural design methods.

Not to be missed by all those involved in the design and development of web, intranets, e-commerce, informational and promotional sites, including project managers and user experience professionals.
